A specialist service offered to the public sector, to provide assistance with performance improvement in PFI and PPP projects
The central Government department, Communities & Local Government (CLG) has retained PFI Compliance for a 3 year commission to undertake a series of audits across their central-London estate.
The audits will cover the gamut of building-related issues – hard and soft services, and Health & Safety issues – and are meant to provide the CLG with regular assurance that all is in order with their Facilities Management Contract. The audits will include an agreed follow-up with the Department and with the FM Contractor, so that the process can be a constructive one for all concerned, by looking in any detail necessary at ‘lessons learned’ or action plans produced.
The advantage of CLG taking a mid-term perspective on the evaluation of their FM service provision is both continuity of knowledge through a known audit team, and the ability for the Department to track service improvement over a period of time.
The Commission with PFI Compliance, which starts immediately, will provide the CLG with all formal and transparent information necessary to be certain they are receiving the service the FM Contract provides for. The FM Contractor, similarly, will have an ongoing exact knowledge of how their Contract is performing, and so to institute clear programmes of continuous improvement.
